Best hybrid luxury cars

The more expensive the car, the more you spend on fuel. It's note the case, if you buy hybrid luxury car.

Depending on your budget, you could look at the Lexus GS 450h, which is a luxury sedan that's also a hybrid. This car is kind of the best of both worlds, although it's a full-size, rear-wheel-drive car and mileage gains may be minimal over your ES. The GS 450h is rated a 23 mpg city/highway, while the previous generation ES, the 330, comes in at 21 mpg combined when using the Environmental Protection Agency's reworked 2008 fuel economy ratings.

Also the Mercedes-Benz E320 Bluetec is worth mentioning, which is diesel-powered and has mileage ratings of 23/32 mpg city/highway and combined mileage of 26 mpg.

If the fuel economy of Lexus GS 450h or Mercedes E320 isn't enough of a jump from your current car, then the Toyota Camry Hybrid is a good choice and similarly sized to your ES. The Camry offers a premium feel with options like leather, navigation and a stylish interior, but it's not totally luxury. That's why Toyota has luxury division called Lexus. Deluxe cars are there.

With mileage ratings of 33 mpg in city driving and 34 mpg on the highway, the Camry Hybrid is no less than a crossroads where efficiency, clean emissions, versatility, comfort and refinement meet.

The new Acura TSX is also worth a test drive. However, the TSX is an entry-level luxury sedan and mach smaller than the cars we already mentioned. It's rated at a 25 mpg city/highway when equipped with the automatic transmission. The TSX with manual transmission is rated at a 23 mpg.
