Over the past five years, Chrysler has been criticized for its hybrid strategy, or lack of them. Although they are a major player in the early 90's, many of the leaders held the view that hybrid technology will not be the last, and that diesel technology deserves much more attention.
In August 2004, however, Chrysler has made a complete revolution, and declared that not only was the production of petrol electric hybrid by 2006, it will be released Dodge Ram hybrids to select fleet customers later this year.
Chrysler did not announce any hybrid model under its own division, and Sebring, Crossfire and PT Cruiser all the candidates are unlikely to at this time.
