Best Hybrid Cars

Mercedes S400 Bluetec Hybrid will be the first hybrid car of German Daimler AG group. This car will be equipped with a V6 petrol engine of 3.5 liters. In a couple of it will work lithium-ion batteries based electric motor. The total capacity of the power plant is about 300 hp, with 272 hp among them are gasoline engine. The power of electric motor is only 28 hp.

After creation of Mercedes S400 Hybrid a second hybrid will be created. The next hybrid car would be called Mercedes S300 Bluetec Hybrid. Manufacturers will equip this hybrid car with 4-cylinder 2.2 liters diesel engine and electric motor with a lithium-ion batteries. It's not reported yet when the model appears.

S-class Bluetec Hybrid car will be available in the next two years. It will use BlueTec diesel engine connected to hybrid module. This engine produces 299 hp and accelerated up to 60 m/h in 7.3 seconds.

B-Class on the fuel cell will come into production in 2010. The head of Daimler, Dieter Zetsche believed that the car would be a very cost-effective and able to compete with conventional cars.
